Pretty cool stuff. They took the 2 colors, and made some goofy characters out of it, as well as redesigning the logo if the lady we are all familiar with. Check out the article here
I found an interesting article about advertising inside video games, and how it can actually enhance the experience of playing a video game. The article quotes JJ Richards, who is the GM of Massive, Microsoft’s in game advertising unit who describes playing a game where you’re in Times Square:
“Now imagine Times Square with ads you just saw on television or read in a newspaper—the latest movie release or television show or a new car model,” he said. “Imagine further that it is up-to-the-minute, whether you played your game today or six months from now. That is much more realistic.” His argument is that gamers consume the experience of ads, not just the ads themselves. “The ads add to and enhance that experience, and our research shows that it is highly effective for both game play as well as advertisers.”
A very good point, one that i totally agree with. Seeing real ads in games sometimes feels like an additional Easter egg, as long as it isn’t over the top
I started yesterday at my new job, as a Digital Producer at 72andSunny. I’ll start by working on Carl’s Jr/Hardee’s, and i could not be more excited. It is a fresh start for me, working at a very creative shop on some really great clients. I can’t wait to start on some projects, and think this is a really great opportunity for me to do some amazing work
Marketing Director Marta Kagan did a presentation called “What The F**K Is Social Media?”. It is a really simple way of getting across to somebody not very internet savvy as to why Social Media is a must for any company. Watch the slideshow below.
I know the video isn’t that great, but this weekend, i saw a helicopter hovering just about the ocean going back and forth down the beach. It was wrapped in G.I. Joe advertisements, and it had a ladder coming out of it with a guy dressed up in a G.I. Joe uniform. Pretty interesting advertisement. Some people around me thought it was a rescue mission, others were just staring, but eventually every got what it was for. Pretty interesting
Business Guys on Business Trips is a website that shows cartoons about what it’s like working as a creative at an Advertising Agency. Really funny. Check out the site here
